About Bunn VPR coffee maker
Coffee lovers sometimes just love the smell of good brew in the morning. Some prefer it in the mid-day while others take a cup just before they hit the bed.
I love a good cup of coffee any time of the day, right in the middle of the night.
A Bunn Coffee maker is a great asset for me in this aspect.
These coffee machines are the best around! They’ll make your mornings so much better!
Bunn coffee makers work in a straightforward manner. When you pour a carafe of cold water and seal the lid, the water is pushed to the bottom of the tank via a unique pipe. The cold water pulls the heated leftover water inside the water tank upwards. The hot water then enters an input tube and travels to the brewer’s sprayhead, where it falls onto the coffee and brews it.
Then the brewed coffee comes out and directly falls into the carafe.
How to Empty a Bunn Coffee Maker?- Draining Out All the Water
If you want a cup of perfect flavored coffee you need to drain the remaining water out after brewing it two or three times.
And you definitely don’t want to travel with a brewer filled with water! You need to empty the brewer also before transporting it.
To empty the brewer, all you need is to follow the steps bellow__
Step 1: Cut off the connection from the power line:
Before draining out water or cleaning your brewer, always remember to cut its connection from the power line. The first thing fast to do is to switch off the machine by pressing the ON/Off button. Now, unplug your machine from the power socket.
Step 2: Pour some cold water:
Now remove the lid of the tank and pour in some cold water to flush the hot water out. Place the carafe on the warmer plate area and close the tank’s lid. This cold water will push the hot water out into the carafe. Do this twice to drain out all the hot water with two full carafes of cold water.
Step 3: Remove the sprayhead:
Simply slide the brew funnel out of the funnel rail. Now, remove the sprayhead. Turn the sprayhead anti-clockwise until it comes out. Keep them aside.
Step 4: Drain out water:
Now, take the brewer to the sink. Hold the back of the brewer and tip it upside down. The water inside the brewer will come out from the opening of the sprayhead tube. Hold the brewer in this position until no water comes out anymore.
Step 5: Re-place the detached parts:
After all the water has been drained out, it’s time to re-place the parts you’ve detached before. Before that, dry the water on the machine with a towel or paper napkin and place the sprayhead by turning it clockwise. Now, slide in the brew funnel and place the carafe.
Your brewer is ready to go again! You can now take it with you wherever you want.
